Child of Disruption/Dissolution Listing

blocks

Preface:
There are many reasons why a placement may not work and why families disrupt or dissolve an adoption. Disruption is the end of an adoption and the end of a dream, but it is not necessarily the end of love. Adoptive parents often anguish over the future welfare of the children who were once theirs.

The good news is that most children who have experienced a disruption will go on to have a successful adoption with another family. The children presented reside in the United States and need homestudied families to adopt them. Should you have an interest in any of the children, please contact the agency, social worker or adoption attorney associated with the child's listing.

The Welcome Garden works with adoption professionals and provides this service free, to help those in need of assistance. Our only request is that we are notified promptly, when a family has been found.

CHILD #1:
G. is a little girl who was born 8/9/1992 and was adopted internationally in June, 2000. According to the family she is with now, she does not have any extreme behavioral, emotional or physical problems, but she has learning disabilities that they believe to be "non-verbal learning disorders". They do not believe she has Reactive Attachment Disorder. They say G. gets along well with younger children (less so with a sister around her age). They say she is artistic and an excellent dancer and takes Indian dance classes on a weekly basis. She also likes atheltics and is good at them. She has no known health problems, but has had tubes put in her ears.

For more information on how to adopt G. please contact:
